Was my life a load I lifted
But couldn't carry?
Was it why I tried to shift it
Onto Charon's ferry?
Was my death an accident
Or did it go just how I planned?
I wish I could remember
How it came to this.

I'd see a rainbow and I'd shoot it -
Possessed by color:
That was how I forgot my duty
And lost my valor.

To put a sad end to it all?
A call of eternity
Isn't easy to resist.

Life's not a barrel you can scrape.
Suicide is not the answer -
It's a cowardly escape.
